Biography

Newly established Director/Choreographer/Performer Zoe Gadd has an extensive background and training in Contemporary Dance and Performing Arts.

After gaining a first class BA Honours in Performing Arts Zoe went on to train intensively for two years in Contemporary dance. Her dance skills include Graham, Cunningham, Classical Ballet, Argentinean Tango, street dance/pop and Physical Theatre and her range is constantly evolving.

Zoe has choreographed for various events throughout the North including the opening ceremony for Milliner Philip Treacy’s exhibition When Philip Met Isabella (Tullie House, Carlisle) and Debenhams’ Dance Fashion Show presented as part of Cumbria Life’s Women’s Festival 2007 both in collaboration with Sara Gadd Millinery & NTG Productions.
In June 2007 Zoe performed in Green Go in conjunction with Mother Dance Co. in Do You Love Me? Choreographed by Ingri Fiksdal (Norway). Prior to this Zoe co-devised and performed in A Sense of Styal a contemporary dance theatre piece based on Styal Women’s Prison. A Sense of Styal was performed by R-Age as part of the International FACES Festival in Karjaa and Helsinki, Finland. This project was also mentored by TC Howard (ex Vincent Dance Theatre).

Zoe’s teaching experience is extensive, ranging from one off community workshops and BBC Blast tour 2008 to University lecturing, technique classes and external choreography posts.
